About
Charlie Lovell Design is a multidisciplinary studio working across architecture and interiors to create carefully considered homes and spaces.
The studio undertakes a limited number of projects each year, working closely with clients from initial concept through to completion.
The work spans new-build homes, adaptive reuse and sensitive renovations, often within rural or landscape-led settings.
At the heart of the studio is a belief that architecture, landscape and material should be considered as one
Each project begins with a careful understanding of place: the character of the land, the movement of light and the way buildings sit within their environment. Rather than imposing architecture onto a setting, the aim is to create spaces that feel naturally rooted within it.
Natural materials and texture form the foundation of the studio’s aesthetic. Stone, timber and plaster are used to create spaces that feel warm, tactile and enduring - environments that favour atmosphere and depth over perfection or polish.
Alongside this material sensibility sits a commitment to intelligent building performance. High-performance envelopes, renewable energy systems and low-carbon technologies are integrated discreetly, ensuring buildings operate efficiently while retaining a timeless architectural language.
